Boys, while it is nice to see so many former AFL players wanting to comment on the SBC exam preparation page (comments since deleted), might I suggest that you don't have time to be wasting sending stupid comments, and I've got better things to do than speak with the IT guys to investigate who is wasting their class time writing stupid blog comments! If you have something relevant to the exam to write in here, do so, 
 
Page 45 has some information on different types of appeals, and page 46 lists and defines some of the persuasive appeals that you may come across in the exam!

For your first piece of revision work, have a look at the letters section of the newspaper (Age or Herald Sun). Pick two or three letters, and read them. Ask yourself: "What is the issue? What is the author's contention? How is the author trying to persuade me?"
